The Applications Group of Viscom is primarily concerned with feasibility analyses, cycle time estimates, inspection plan creation, training and applications services. The steady availability of all system types offered and the expanded employee force guarantee rapid reaction to all customer requests – especially for the benefits of the “Application and Inspection Library” support packet. The goals of this packet are to raise effectiveness and optimize deployment of system capabilities. The customer can chose between a Base Packet, covering creation and unification of inspection libraries and local personnel training, and an Advanced Packet providing on-site appraisal by application specialists. Coverage of the Support Packet is usually one to four man weeks, but it is also possible to extend it over six to twelve months.
Increasing personnel does more than just facilitate even quicker response to customer requests throughout Germany and Europe. Applications centers in Asia and the USA are also supported by personnel build-up and orientation at those locations. They are one more milestone in the worldwide ramp-up of activities. Two application centers in Asia (Shanghai and Yokohama) and one in North America (San Jose) support customers in all time zones, in every aspect of system application. An additional service center will be established in Shenzhen during the first quarter of 2007.
This future installation will make it possible for customers from the Asian region to assess extensive tests and performances benchmarks first-hand, and so convince themselves of the performance capabilities and quality of the company’s inspection systems on site.
