User group meeting puts AOI software through its paces
Marantz Business Electronics’ recent UK user group meeting created a unique learning environment for customers in this region to refresh their knowledge on the company’s AOI technology. Not limited to existing technologies, the event also provided a useful opportunity for attendees to gain first hand experience with the new SW V400 software suite. Held over January 15 th to 16 th at ITRI Innovation Ltd’s – formerly known as Tin Technologies – UK headquarters in St. Albans, the UK user group meeting delivered a forum for engineers to learn more about AOI machines. Based around a ‘class room’ set-up, the event featured the very latest 22XDL machine linked via an interactive projector screen. Harnessing the power of this technology, attendees were able to learn how they could maximise the potential of their machine’s capacity for 24-bit colour defect detection, exceptional inspection accuracy and ultra fast programming.

The meeting was also an opportunity for attendees to discover the recently launched SW V400 software. Introducing an innovative one-step programming technique, the new software enables manufacturers to save an impressive 40 % in programming time for optimal productivity. Incorporating the latest histogram algorithms to utilise the true power of 24-bit colour imaging, SW V400 eliminates the need for multi camera configurations. Attendees were also invited to bring along their own live boards and data to simultaneously test out the software and learn the very latest programming techniques. The Marantz team also introduced delegates to the new Marantz user group web-based forum and its latest addition, an intuitive, interactive help program. The program is specifically designed to help new engineers learn how to use the company’s AOI systems. Feedback from the event showed that attendees valued the opportunity to see the new technologies in action, while also strengthening their knowledge on existing systems.
