During August 2006 Juki Automation Systems managed to ship 335 assembly systems and dispensers. This new monthly record within the company’s SMT success story means an output of 17 units per working day from the Akita plant in Japan. A huge challenge for the plant, as production output was stepped up so massively without hampering the firm’s high quality standard. Reportedly, Elitegroup Computer Systems (ECS), the world leading PC Mainboard and Notebook/Desktop PC maker, have ordered modules of the FX-1R and 2060 type at JUKI 200. The machines were ordered for the ECS plant in Shenzhen, China. The first lot of 150 units had been shipped and installed only 8 weeks after order intake. The second lot of 50 machines had to be shipped and installed in October.
