UK venu Southern Electronics Show makes a welcome return to the FIVE exhibition site, Farnborough (Hampshire) on the 10th and 11th of February 2010. Organisers, European Trade & Exhibition Services (ETES), are hoping to build on the 2009 success with more features being added for 2010. Southern Electronics remains a consistent fixture in the calendar for many electronics professionals. With its richly-varied mix of exhibitors, free entry, free on-site car parking and easy access, the show’s unique attraction is that it allows busy visitors to meet a surprising number of suppliers in a very short space of time. Located close to the M3 in Hampshire and well-served by public transport, the FIVE site is very convenient, with many visitors choosing to visit on their way to, or from the office.
The other strength of Southern Electronics is its co-location with the ever-popular Southern Manufacturing Show. Given that most electronics assembly involves an element of mechanical manufacture and vice-versa, the two events are ideally matched, giving visitors even more opportunities to see products and suppliers relevant to their particular needs. In total, the show brings together around 500 top suppliers. Last year’s exhibition area covered 3,500m² and attracted 5000 visitors over two days. Show director, Phil Valentine, believes attending the Southern Manufacturing & Electronics Show should be a high priority for industrial SMEs keen to maximise opportunities for growth in 2010.
