The Tecnomatix’ subsidiary Unicam has entered into co-operations with three companies on its manufacturing-focused software tools. As one result, there is a European-wide partnership agreement with Itochu/Germany, a value-added reseller of production and test systems for the electronic and microelectronic industries. The company named Tecnomatix its preferred supplier of software tools. Continuing a partnership dating back to 1994, both corporations agreed to integrate eMPower eM-Test Expert and eM-Repair programs with Itochu’s flying-prober and other test and repair implementations. The other cooperation is with Assembléon/Netherlands specialist in surface-mount pick-and-place equipment, in order to replace the older tools for all its customers. Under the terms of the agreement, eM-Assembly Expert and eM-Document Expert will replace the CIMbridge software currently being used by Assembléon. Since acquiring the CIMbridge business unit from GenRad, Tecnomatix has been committed to upgrading CIMbridge users to a more advanced and integrated platform. And there is also a worldwide distribution agreement with tester company SPEA/Italy to market the eM-Test Expert to its customer base. Expanding a long relationship with Tecnomatix, SPEA will offer this as the favorite software package to prepare data for a faster test program generation and comprehensive machine support.
