STL Systemtechnik LEBER provider of development services in the field of embedded and mechatronic systems, has signed a cooperation agreement with Nordic Semiconductor ASA – a leading provider of wireless IoT solutions with low power consumption. The official partnership, which will come into immediate effect, will see STL support users in the design-in of Nordic‘s solutions.

“The design-in of systems-on-chips (SoCs) of Nordic‘s nRF52 and nRF53 series has been one of our core competencies for a long time“, STL CEO Stefan Angele said. “Our developers have had very positive experiences with Nordic‘s chips in the past. [As] we support more and more customers in the development of innovative and sustainable products for digitalization, we have been expanding our activities in the low-power area for some time. The official partnership with Nordic is a logical step towards providing even better quality in our development projects.”

“Systemtechnik LEBER fits perfectly into our partner program because of its proven systems engineering expertise,” said Thomas Page, Regional Sales Director at Nordic Semiconductor. “With the STL team, we can provide our customers with a reliable design partner to support their product development. LEBER engineers are able to handle the complete design-in process of our SoCs modules – with a lot of experience and passion. We are convinced that our users can trust that they will always receive a high-quality and future-proof product.“

The STL development team has been familiar with the Nordic chips for years and admires the quality and architecture of the products. In addition, various driver APIs for different peripherals are standardized hardware-independently, so that hardware such as SoCs can be exchanged flexibly while retaining the software. This saves time in development since they come with a complete controller integrated.

“Nordic solutions actually come with many things by default that normally have to be mapped by complicated algorithms, and they work very reliably,” STL developer Kevin Steffan said. “When we have questions, Nordic‘s support responds very quickly with very good and appropriate suggestions. We have the advantage that we are now very familiar with the design-in of the solutions – of course, the users benefit from this.”
