Reliability prediction for optoelectronical and electronical components and PCBAs
Life time estimation of components is especially required in high reliability markets. Having been in the market for 25 years, microtec offers a long history of experience and know-how in a wide range of electronic applications such as automotive, avionic & space, medical technology and telecommunication, where life time assessment is crucial. The test lab for opto and microelectronics supports customers offering following services: A) Life time estimation of components and PCBAs, based on statistic analysis of test results (Weibull). B) Calculation of „meantime between failure“ (MTBF) for PCBAs and systems according to relevant standards. C) Storage of components, change of function and processibility after storage. The test lab performs life time tests and Burn-In (HTOL, THB and other) and furthermore statistic analysis like Weibull: Test results are examined regarding early failures, random failure or abrasion under operating conditions. The reliability experts also estimate life time based on calculation of MTBF and FIT rates. Examinations are performed under different electrical stress and climatic conditions. Furthermore, the test lab offers reliability tests and qualifications according to international standards like AEC-Q, ESCC, Telcordia, MIL, IEC and Jedec. The enterprise offers assistance regarding interpretation of customer specific tests inclusive design of reliability testing. Studies regarding aging of electronic devices, recommendations concerning longtime storage and processability of stored components are just a few more reliability services offered by the independent and certified test lab. It submits experience in reliability for various components. Besides semiconductors and other active devices the experts provide you with knowledge for passive components and opto electronical devices such as LEDs, laser diodes, image sensors and camera systems.
