With more than 80 guests, the Göpel user group meeting Boundary Scan Days in Jena/Germany had an increase of over 50% compared to the previous attendance. In particular, the presentation of the BS hardware architecture Scanflex generated high interest among the attendees. ATE vendors and chip manufacturers such as Siemens, Diehl Avionik, Phoenix Contact, National Semiconductor and Digitaltest reported about applications, test support and problem solving issues. Also discussed were project-specific practices and items. The company claims that BS /JTAG technology is the most innovative technology for testing, programming and verifying board assemblies at present. Since 1990, Göpel positively established this methodology on the world market with nearly 4,000 system installations. Boundary Scan Days do not only take place in Germany. The company’s distributors all over the world also sponsor such events. In 2005, they were held in Switzerland and Scandinavia, and will also take place in Italy, the Benelux countries, France, Great Britain, the USA and Canada.
