Ersa holds anniversary party in Germany
Kurtz Ersa North America, a leading supplier of electronics production equipment, is pleased to announce the company’s 235-year anniversary. The festivities started in March with the celebration of the Kurtz hammer mill’s first mention in documents, continued with the opening of the Hammermuseum (in June) and reached their peak with the recent anniversary party. More than 1,100 employees, business partners, customers and special guests came together to celebrate at the Barthelsmühle in Hasloch.

Kurtz Ersa CEO Rainer Kurtz greeted the guests, family members, mayors of the surrounding communities, associates, members of the advisory board and employees: “Today the flags of Kurtz Ersa fly full of pride, because we are celebrating our 235th anniversary – that’s not daily business. Dear employees, this is your party!”
Mr. Kurtz used the opportunity to look back to the origin of Kurtz Ersa. In March 1779 the iron hammer was founded by the Wenzel brothers only a couple of hundred meters away from the place of the anniversary party. Mr. Kurtz explained the strategy of the family enterprise: “Our goal was not to be one of the really big companies. We focused on niches and now we belong to the best.”
The company is very aware of its longtime tradition – the historic center in Hasloch shows this with the Iron Hammer, Hammermuseum (iron-hammer-works.com) and Manor House. “We are the last active iron hammer in the Spessart. We run the most modern hand mold foundry in the Spessart and we are a highly innovative mechanical engineer worldwide,” added Kurtz. Kurtz Ersa will presumably have its best year in company history in 2014. “That is teamwork from all of you dear employees, retired employees and apprentices – thank you on behalf of all of the management.
