A platform for India’s design and manufacturing capabilities

The 3rd Elcomp India 2007 takes place September 12th to 14th , 2007, at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi, India. The event is a platform for companies to showcase electronic components, subsystems, as well as equipment and machines used in the manufacturing of electronic components, assemblies and products. It is co-organised by Electronic Industries Association of India (Elcina) and Exhibitions India.

The trade fair will be the largest event of its kind in the region. With exhibit area increased to 1,800 square meters net (a growth of 60 % over 2006), it will bring together 250 exhibitors from over 20 countries who will display their state-of-the-art products at the exhibition. Expecting a turnout of over 8,000 trade visitors, Elcomp India 2007’s will is endorsed and promoted by 24 electronic industry associations and 18 trade journals worldwide. Major electronic hardware associations from India like Ceama, CLIK, Eliap, IPCA, ISA, MAIT, SMTA and TEMA will be participating at the event. This is the only trade show on electronic industry in India to be certified by US Department of Commerce.
Singapore, the partner country, will lead major exhibitors displaying their products and state-of-the-art technology, potential buyers and industry stalwarts at the show. Besides business delegations from Singapore and China, Elcomp India expects ’sourcing teams‘ from various global EMS majors across the world to explore the Indian hardware manufacturing opportunity.
High-level business delegations from Singapore and China, participation by major sector-specific electronic hardware associations in India, buyers‘ arena with participation from leading MNCs, and over 300 delegates from around the globe will grace this year’s Elcomp India 2007, 3rd International Exhibition and Conference. The two-day international conference on “Electronic Manufacturing – Destination India”, would highlight the growing hardware manufacturing and technological advancements that’s encompassing the global industry and the focus on India as a manufacturing destination.
Some of the eminent speakers who will be speaking during the conference are S. Janakiraman, CEO, MindTree Consulting, and president, India Semiconductor Association; Ravi Agarwal, senior vice president, global sales operations, Asia Pacific manager, NXP Semiconductors; Ram Deshpande, managing director, Vishay Components India; Jaswinder Ahuja, corporate vice president and country manager, Cadence Design Systems; David Bradley, senior director, supply chain and sourcing – India, Jabil Circuits; V.G. Gujrathi, senior general manager, Tata Motors; Sanjiv Narayan, managing director, SGS Tekniks; Josh Foulger, director, engineering, Nokia India; Apparao Mallavarapu, managing director, Solectron Centum Electronics, to name only a few. Elcomp India 2007 will showcase special technology displays by global leaders in environment technology for electronic manufacturing and design companies. It will also host vendor development meets with global EMS players and mobile handset manufacturers currently operating in India and a buyers‘ arena. These special platforms will create exclusive forums for the buyers and sellers from India and overseas, to explore new business opportunities.
