National Instruments‘ multifunction PXI-4072 FlexDMM gives users the functionality of three instruments in a single-slot: 6½-digit multimeter, LCR (inductance, capacitance and resistance) meter and a 1.8MS/s isolated digitizer. The FlexDMM brings digital multimeters one step closer to providing universal measurement capability by offering the 20 common tests, including voltage, current, capacitance, inductance, temperature and resistance. The module builds on the PXI-4070 FlexDMM by adding inductance and capacitance, offering 0.25% basic accuracy. As digital multimeter, it delivers fast and accurate 6½-digit DC voltage and current, resistance measurements and true-rms AC voltage and current. In the high-voltage isolated digitizer mode, the instrument can acquire both AC and DC-coupled voltage and current waveforms of up to ±300 V and ±1 A input at a maximum sample rate of 1.8MS/s. Users can quickly increase the channel count of their FlexDMM system by integrating with switch modules and switch management software, to measure thousands of channels with a single multimeter. The hardware comes with driver software that is optimized for use with LabVIEW, LabWindows/CVI and MS Visual Studio .NET
