Users can drastically reduce time-to-test with the high-performance CPUs available in the National Instruments PXI-8350 and VXI-8350 rack-mount controllers, featuring a 3.0GHz processor with hyper threading and up to 4 GB of dual-channel, double-data rate (DDR) RAM. In addition, the controllers incorporate a set of peripherals including serial-ATA hard drive, dual gigabit ethernet and USB 2.0 in a single module to ease system integration. By combining broad software support with high processing power and performance peripherals, the controllers are ideal for manufacturing-test applications that include intensive data analysis and streaming-to-disk requirements. They occupy just 1U (1.75-in) of 19-inch rack space. The PXI-8350 includes a remote control kit to cable to the PXI chassis, and the VXI-8350 includes a remote control kit to cable to the VXI chassis. With connectivity to PXI, VXI, ethernet, USB, serial and GPIB/IEC Bus (via USB), the controllers are the ideal central hub of a complete test system. The controllers are available with Windows XP installed, and integrate seamlessly with a variety of suits including the LabVIEW, LabWindows/CVI and TestStand management software.
