Speedline Technologies has announced that it will offer the Optima, Ultrasonic Systems’ latest generation spray fluxing system. The fluxing system will be available on Speedline’s Electra and VectraElite wave soldering systems. The spray fluxing system features patented Ultra-Spray ultrasonic technology and its Smart Motion traversing mechanism for precision spray fluxing process control. The Ultra-Spray assembly uses a vibrating solid titanium spray head to atomize flux. The combination of Ultra-Spray and Smart Motion provides better than ±1 % flux deposition variation, and complete flux penetration of all plated-through holes regardless of circuit board width or thickness. From no-clean to O/A to RMA, the Optima’s non-clogging, maintenance free spray head can atomize all flux types.
