The EPRep (Engraved Plate Replacement) labels from Brady are designed to replace engraved and printed nameplates for the identification of electrical components, electrical cabinets, push-buttons and signal lights, as well as visual process instructions for instrumentation, motor control units and production lines. They are based on the material B-7593, developed by the company which offers high print quality and durability in the field.
The printed labels offer a fast and cost-effective alternative to the classic engraved nameplates. They can be printed directly in-house, when they are required, thus avoiding the need for pre-ordering and delivery, or repetition of the whole process in the event of design or text errors. The company’s Labelmark 3V design software increases the flexibility with ready-made templates and designs and the option for label serialisation.
B-7593 is a 650 µm three-layer polyester material. Thanks to its reliable hard-tack acrylic adhesive, it is ideal for uneven surfaces. The material is THT-printable on the following printers: BP Precision, BP-THT-2461, BP-THT-3481, MVP and TLS2200/PC Link. Reportedly, its glossy topcoat ensures good print quality and professional appearance, making these labels as good as engraved plates. The material even feels like an engraved plate – because of its rigidity – and the labels can be easily and securely applied once they are removed from the liner.
The product is resistant to scratching, smearing and rubbing as well as to chemical substances such as alcohols, diesel and oils. The labels come in four different colors: white, silver, black and yellow, and are UV- and QUV-resistant to fading.
