Interconnect modules to attach test units
Virginia Panel Corporation’s Gemini 2100 series 6-module and 10-module mass-interconnect systems offer speed, versatility, and a modular approach to rapid UUT (unit under test) changeover in a rugged package. These adaptable systems integrate signal, coaxial, power, fiber-optic, pneumatic and thermocouple contacts, and incorporate them into cable assemblies for specific PXI/VXI cards. By simultaneously engaging up to 1280 signal contacts in a matter of seconds, the module offers an efficient alternative to repeated connection and disconnection of individual leads and contacts. This flexible system offers the ability to create wireless solutions when used with TAC contacts to mate directly to a circuit board. Designed for both applications, the two-piece, EMI-shielded enclosure features large adjustable cable clamps to accommodate various sized wire bundles, and slides open for easy access to modules and contacts. The angle of the cable clamp assemblies is designed not to interfere with access to lower racks, and the covers are completely compatible and interchangeable with the VPC 90 Series 6 and 10 modules (9106 and 9110), adding greater flexibility to these proven solutions. VPC also offers cable assemblies that mate to most PXI and VXI cards.
