The Reinhardt ATS-PT 670 is a low-cost tester for power supplies of any kind, from low power to up to 2kVA. The system can be used for AC/DC and DC/DC power supplies checking their function, limits, and if necessary used for adjustments. The basic version delivers AC to up to 280V, and is variable in frequency between 35Hz and 6.5kHz or DC up to 76V, using up to 5 loads between 0 and 4A. In an expanded version, it can use further AC-sources, variable in frequency and up to 2 kVA, DC-sources up to 450V and currents up to 20A. The standard loads for up to 4A can also be connected in parallel. Another 6 loads are available, each of which can be burdened with 30A. A number of control and measuring channels stimulate the pilot circuit for computer power supplies. The menu-driven software is easy to operate and is programmed based on Windows, so a test routine is reportedly typically generated in 5 minutes. An effective graphical fault-location function is integrated. The system can also be used as a combined in-circuit and functional tester. In small manufacturing environments with reduced volumes, such a tester can then be used for board assemblies as well as power supplies, gaining a good ROI (return on investment) and avoiding investing into two different systems for these tasks. Linking to corporate networks for quality management is standard.
