Nepcon/UK expands due to higher demand

More positive signs in the British electronics industry have resulted in Reed Exhibitions expanding the size of the show floor at the Nepcon event in Brighton (May 26 and 27), necessitating a show floor of approximately 2150sqm (a plus of about 10%). Over 150 companies have already signed up, and the organizers expect the final number of stands to number around 200, with many more organizations represented via booth-sharing arrangements. “A number of companies new to the show and new to the industry have signed up to exhibit this year due to both growth in the market and to our highly-focused format”, says exhibition executive Justin Tadman. “This has increased still further the diversity of disciplines and technologies that visitors will find at the Brighton Metropole, and demonstrates the inherent strength of the electronics industry in the UK”. The trend towards outsourcing has led to the launching of several new contract manufacturers and sub-contractors. “The fact that such companies see Nepcon as a pivotal part of their launch strategy is evidence of how Nepcon has evolved over the last few years. In addition to the major players that you would expect to see at the show, it now caters to a new breed of exhibitor and has become a far more varied and all-encompassing event”. The current exhibitor list includes many big names from the industry acting in the British market.
