The Kester Liberty 910 is a full synthetic lead-free solder paste which is suited for stencil printing. Available in various formulations such as tin/silver/copper, tin/silver, tin/copper and tin/silver/copper/bismuth, it fulfills the requirements of green products. The paste does not contain any halogen activators, so corrosion risk is reduced, and requirements of surface insulation resistance specs are maintained. Print speed of up to 150mm/second is possible, and best results are achieved at ambient between 20 and 25°C/relative humidity between 35 and 65%. Tackiness is in accordance with the requirements and shows stable behavior over a long period, because the paste contains only a very small quantity of solvents. The wetting behavior of the paste is stable across all soldering profiles. Apart from convection reflow, the paste can also be used in vapor-phase systems. The use of nitrogen in convection reflow is recommended, in vapor phase pre-heating in a non-oxidiz-ing atmosphere. Residues don´t have to be removed. As the paste fulfils all requirements according to J-STD standards, it can be usedaccording to EN-61191-1 without cleaning.
