Reflow oven improves cost of ownership
Further raising the standards of thermal performance, the BTU Pyramax 150 incorporates a 150-in heated length and 10 controlled zones, and the Pyramax 98 features a 98-in length and 7 heated zones. These ovens provide operating temperatures of 350ºC for lead-free reflow, reduced gas consumption and maintenance together with improved ergonomics, while a 24-in processing capability and easier configuration provides greater flexibility. Ergonomics encompass easily accessible units with front access to key maintenance points. A lower height provides better visibility, and a sliding arrangement eliminates swing-out panels that previously obstructed aisles. All thesereportedly leads to a 75% reduction in preventive maintenance. The Pyramax range features flux management to remove residues from the process chamber that now incorporates a procedure assistant, easier access to filtration and trap arrangement together with hot zone re-circulation to minimize condensation. Forced convection technology directs hot gas to board surfaces at a fast rate to achieve effective heat transfer. Process consistency and repeatability is offered via an optional closed-loop convection system which transmits pressure measurements to the sys-tem controller to automatically adjust blower speeds and pressure controls.
