Due to the increasing spread of covid-19 in Europe, Mesago Messe Frankfurt GmbH has decided to postpone this year’s SMTconnect tradeshow. Originally from 5 – 7 May 2020, the event will now take place on 28 – 30 July 2020. With the focus of microelectronic assemblies and systems, the tradeshow will still occur at the Nuremberg Exhibition Centre. Tickets that have already been purchased will be valid for the new date.
„The dynamic developments around covid-19 in Europe require all exhibition organizers to continually assess the situation. We very much hope that we have acted in the interest of all parties involved with this postponement and that we can thus make a joint contribution to delaying the spread of covid-19 in Europe,“ stated Petra Haarburger, Managing Director of Mesago Messe Frankfurt GmbH.
All highlights as the previous years will once again take place this year, including a variety of networking opportunities, educational presentations and discussions, as well as special showcase areas. The EMS Park has seating and charging stations to have discussions in a relaxed setting. The Speakers Corner will have presentations covering all industry trends, techniques, future developments, etc… The Future Packaging live production line will simulate actual factory conditions for all visitors. Further special showcases include the Newcomer Pavilion, the Mechatronics & Automation cluster, PCB meets Components area, hand soldering competition, and more.
The PCIM Europe tradeshow has also been postponed to the same July dates as SMTconnect. (ch)
