Seika Machinery, Inc., a provider of advanced machinery, materials and engineering services, is pleased to announce that McDry electronic drying storage cabinets are utilized worldwide for storage of automotive parts. This includes, engine components, bearings, springs, ball sensors for gyroscopes, plungers, and metallic raw material in the production of valves to prevent moisture absorption, as well as, rust oxidation from occurring. The DXU-1001/DXU-1002 storage dry cabinets can maintain an RH level of just one percent.

  • Door opening/closing frequency: Once every 20–40 minutes
  • Compliant to ESD-IEC61340–5–1
  • Equipped with a digital RH meter
  • Locking doors
  • Adjustable shelves can hold up to 220lbs (100kgs)
  • Grounded to prevent static electricity

McDry also has been used for the drying and storage of fiber optics such as micro-lens for WDM and CCD solid-state image sensors. During the manufacturing of quartz oscillators, it can store quartz crystals and electrode adhesives in a safe and dry environment.

There are many storage dry cabinet models to choose from for any size application. Other storage applications include original prints, printed wiring boards (PWBs), polymide film, tape reels, feeders and various electronic components and materials. These cabinets conform to IPC/JEDEC J-STD 033C and IPC 1601 Guidelines.
