This includes, engine components, bearings, springs, ball sensors for gyroscopes, plungers, and metallic raw material in the production of valves to prevent moisture absorption, as well as, rust oxidation from occurring. The DXU-1001/DXU-1002 storage dry cabinets can maintain an RH level of just one percent.

McDry also has been used for the drying and storage of fiber optics such as micro-lens for WDM and CCD solid-state image sensors. During the manufacturing of quartz oscillators, it can store quartz crystals and electrode adhesives in a safe and dry environment.

Other storage applications include original prints, printed wiring boards (PWBs), polymide film, tape reels, feeders and various electronic components and materials.
