In the case of the Agilent bead probe technology, small solder beads are applied directly to the conductors or the vias of the PC-Board. For contacting this technology, two different types of Ingun tip-styles are available and recommended: The tip-style 02 (flat tip for testing PC-Boards free of solder resin or for testing very small beads) and the tip-style 60 (image; fine serrated tip with the spacing of only 0.2 mm – for beads contaminated with surplus solder resin and also for larger beads). The bead probes are compatible to the standard series GKS-050/-075/ -100/-135. Therefore spring-forces, receptacles and tools from these series can be used.
