Adlink has showcased innovations in PXI platforms, modular instruments, GPIB, bus extension solutions and its PCI express product portfolio at electronica 2008. Presenting the PXI total solution for the toughest test and measurement applications, Adlink unveiled a high performance dual-core PXI controller for hybrid testing systems, PXI-3950, which combines the IntelR CoreT2 Duo T7500 2.2 GHz processor, Mobile IntelR GME965 chipset and 4 GB 667 MHz DDR2 memory as well as 3U 19-slot PXI chassis with smart chassis management, PXIS-2719, which is the industry-first 19-slot PXI chassis and features one system slot and eighteen peripheral slots, an innovative cooling mechanism, a flexible rack-mounting design and smart chassis management. The company also showcased a bus extension system capable of extending the host computer’s PCI/PCIe/Express bus to an external chassis no matter in PCI or PXI form factors. This eliminates the I/O boundaries and facilitates fast and easy expansion for plenty of remote test and measurement applications. A wide range of the company’s PCI express product portfolio for measurement and automation applications was also highlighted.
