Programmable stripping machine
The CoaxStrip 5300 NT from Swiss manufacturer Schleuniger is perfectly suited for precise, multi-layer stripping of coaxial and micro-coaxial cables from 0.15 mm inner diameter (AWG 36) to 4 mm outer diameter as well as all types of round wires and cables. The company’s rotary stripping technology with high precision cable centering and cutting mechanics has been incorporated into this new machine model. The high rotary speed of the stripping head, programmable blade feed rate and improved cutting blade geometry guarantee high precision incisions into the individual layers of a multi-layer cable without damaging adjacent layers. The new stripping head design allows the blades to travel perpendicular to the cable axis. This results in a consistent stripping quality and longer blade life. Rotating cable centralizers are mounted directly in front of the blades. The stripping machine comes with universal V-type centralizers as standard. Cable-specific radius type centralizers are also available for processing very thin cable diameters. These custom-made centralizers are made a few hundredths of a millimeter larger than the cable; therefore no torque is applied to the cable. This enables precise incisions without twisting the inner conductor.

The machine excels with short cycle times and high productivity. Due to its open construction and an air-jet, which cleans the blades and centering jaws, the stripping head requires little maintenance. All processing parameters are programmable via the front panel on the machine or with the Iguana wire processing PC software. In total, the company now offers 3 different models for processing coaxial cables: The standard CoaxStrip 5300, the CoaxStrip 5300 MX and the new CoaxStrip 5300 NT.
