With 240 W of power and low voltage outputs that drive intelligent soldering tools with integrated temperature sensors and quick heating-up time, the soldering station is the ideal tool for modern assembly requirements ranging from heavy duty soldering through to precise surface mount hand soldering.
When used with WX compatible soldering irons, it is the basis of a state of the art soldering station but in addition to this capability it is able to control other accessories such as WFE fume extraction equipment and WHP heating plates from the company. The two independent outputs allow the simultaneous use of the powerful and intelligent WX tools. The patented, capacitive touchscreen is antistatic and the menu navigation is multi-lingual. An automatic standby mode is activated by a sensor in the handle of the WX tools which detects when the device is not in use and automatically switches the tool to a standby temperature. Removal of the tool from its safety rest will switch the tool back to its operating temperature, eliminating the need for stop-and-go stands. Furthermore all other connected accessories such as fume extractors and heating plates can be put into an energy-saving sleep mode when not in use. This makes the power unit energy efficient and user friendly.
A USB port allows quick and easy updating of firmware, the input of control parameters and the downloading of process data. The powerful and intelligent soldering capability of the WX 2 control unit is optimised by a new generation of WX tools and accessories. All WX tools have an integrated sensor system and signal reader built into the handle, meaning that all control parameters are stored in the hand tools internal memory, not in the base station.
