Panasonic Industry Europe has announced that its PanaCIM Gen2 software has been adopted by medium-sized manufacturer of products and solutions for the automation of mobile machines, Graf-Syteco, at its site in Tuningen Germany. According to a press release, the German company is now using the company’s EE material management software, AM-100 component placer and SPG stencil printer at its production facility.
With around 70 employees, Graf-Syteco manufactures operating devices with high-resolution displays, controllers, I/O modules and keyboards primarily for use in agricultural and construction machinery, as well as for firefighting technology.
When it came to expanding its production facilities, Graf Syteco required a flexible production environment as customized solutions are developed in-house from prototype status to series production. Panasonic Industry said its SMT portfolio which follows the motto ‘any mix, any volume, any time’ was a good fit for this dynamic production environment.
“In order to efficiently produce not only a series of several thousand but also many small batch sizes with the associated frequent changeovers, we were looking for an extremely powerful and flexible system. With Panasonic‘s hardware and especially PanaCIM as software for complete production planning, we found what we were looking for,” Jürgen Müller, managing director of Graf-Syteco, said of the change.
“We are pleased that innovative medium-sized companies and so-called hidden champions like Graf-Syteco appreciate the advantages of our machines and solutions. Our high-quality and reliable production solutions, such as pick-and-place machines, stencil printers, and our PanaCIM material management software, which is precisely tailored to customer requirements, were able to convince Graf-Syteco – we are looking forward to the cooperation with anticipation,“ Division Director of Panasonic Factory Solutions, Nils Heininger, added.
