Swiss manufacturer of production solutions for electronics has increased again
Covering the entire production process

In the past, approximately every two years Essemtec has increased its headquarters production space in Aesch, Switzerland. In July 2008 Martin Ziehbrunner, CEO of the fast growing enterprise, invited for another celebration. This time an architecturally interesting new building was opened that includes not only production space but also office rooms and a large, friendly canteen. The Swiss manufacturer of production solutions for electronics has increased its production capacity.

More than 1220 square meter of production and office space have been inaugurated. The celebration was split into different occasions: A User Group Meeting for the know how exchange with the customers, an in-house exhibition, a suppliers day and an open day for friends and relatives. The new two storied building has been optimally designed into the available space. None room is boring rectangular but has an interesting footprint. The ground floor is occupied by the FLX and CSM production department. Engineers and product managers find lots of room for good ideas in the first floor. Large windows allow much more daylight to come in than in the old rooms. With more than 100 employees the old presentation room has been very crowded during company meetings. This is why a large canteen has been realized in the new building, offering enough capacity also for bigger events. Staff and management are both enthusiastic about the new workplace. Martin Ziehbrunner, CEO: „We are rapidly growing. Unfortunately, work space always stays a little bit behind of that. We are happy that the the new building has been finished in time. But: The utilization factor at the present location has now reached its limit. For further enlargement we must look for other possibilities.“ Essemtec is a worldwide leader in the manufacturing of Surface Mount Technology (SMT) production equipment. The enterprise specializes in high mix production equipment for Printed Circuit Boards (PCB) using Surface Mount Technology. The manufacturer covers the entire production process, from printers and/or dispensers, to pick and place and soldering equipment. Therefore, customers benefit from knowledge and the ability to select, from a single source, a complete process solution to meet their requirements. The systems are optimized for maximum flexibility. Users shall be able to switch between production lots as fast as possible and make maximum use of the available production capacity.
