Conformal coatings for all market sectors

HumiSeal, manufacturer and distributor of conformal coatings, showcased its newer products that are making a real impact in the automotive sector. 1B51 NSLU and UV500 represent ground-breaking advancements in conformal coating performance as the company continues to invest in technology. These new products mark a significant milestone in the ability of coatings to meet the increasing demands placed on more challenging performance standards, especially in the automotive industry. These new UV product continue to leverage the expertise in this technology platform – as demonstrated through the success of the UV40 suite of conformal coating products. Following extensive R&D, the UV500 product has been developed to significantly increase performance and to meet or exceed the stringent test requirements that are found in the electronics industry today. This product has been designed to deliver superior performance in several categories over first generation UV coating systems. It displays SIR/MIR performance unlike any other coating in today’s market. At elevated operating temperatures, it exhibits best in class performance illustrated in such test regimes as long-term thermal shock/cycling. Finally, the product provides excellent protection against long-term exposure to high moisture environments. It can also be easily repaired/reworked.

The 1B51NSLU is an air drying, single component, synthetic rubber conformal coating that contains safer solvents that are more environmentally friendly than traditional solvents. Because of its base polymer, the product has extremely low moisture vapour permeability and demonstrates excellent flexibility making it suitable for applications where thermal shock is pervasive. It also minimises stress on components and fluoresces under UV for ease of inspection and repair should rework be necessary.
