Even ten years after its market launch, the mobile extraction and filter unit by Teka is still convincing internationally in many industries. It only needs 230 V – and the mobile filter unit “filtoo” is already reliably in operation in garages or maintenance workshops, fitter’s shops and metal-working companies with a wide range of main focuses. A decade after its market launch, the compact model for a single workplace is still one of the most popular mobile extraction and filter units due to its flexibility. It is used across industries for diverse tasks in the field of filtration of smokes, dusts and gases and ensures healthy indoor air at the workplace.
„We were one of the first suppliers to implement the idea of a mobile, easy-to-assemble and universally usable filter unit so marketable,“ says Simon Telöken, Managing Director, looking back. Even today, this mobile unit is an ideal problem solver for work at a single welding workplace. „The filtoo, as a compact, ready-to-operate unit, is well-thought-out, of high quality and available at an excellent price/performance ratio – that‘s convincing,“ explains Mr Telöken. The company is particularly pleased about the high demand from England, France, the Netherlands and Germany.
How it works
The polluted air is sucked into the filter unit via a 3 metres long hose arm with internal joints or an alternative collection device. The particles and gases are filtered from the air stream in a four-stage filter process including an activated carbon filter for odours. The purified air is led back into the working room. Due to its excellent separation efficiency 99.9 %, the mobile unit is IFA certified for the welding fume category „W3“.
The filtoo casing is made of stable sheet steel and is finished with powder coating inside and outside. The filter elements are easily accessible via a service door and can therefore be removed quickly and easily. The handling of the unit is self-explanatory via intuitive control elements.
The popular accessories include the flexibly movable hose arm and the dust pre-separator, often ordered for grinding work. Even though the mobile unit with a pressure of 2,500 Pa is an entry-level solution for individual workplaces, it is not an isolated solution and the company’s planners like to combine it with air conditioning concepts.
This solution has also been given an upgrade in motor technology. „With an output of 1.1 kW, the filtoo is therefore also up to date in energy efficiency,“ further explains Simon Telöken.
