The FSMU-W from Rohde & Schwarz combines the vector signal generator SMU200A with the vector signal analyzer FSQ. Preconfigured for WCDMA, with one RF path and an analyzer frequency range of up to 26GHz, the instruments test base stations according to the 3GPP standard. The equipment can be upgraded with a second RF path, fading simulator and options for other 2G or 3G standards. Both instruments meet the requirements set by third-generation mobile-radio standards for design and production of base stations. The configuration is available in three base configurations: the analyzer with upper frequency limits of 3, 6, 8 or 26.5GHz and with a second RF source. Programming examples are provided on CD, with clear instructions for performing all tests, including the relevant source code for the different measurements plus tips for obtaining results more quickly.
