The Schleuniger transfer module 6000 reportedly provides a cost-efficient combination of semi and fully automated systems for cable processing. It consists of a basic module to which single benchtop machines can be docked. This machine concept allows for a synchronized and gentle transport of cables with specially designed carriers, resulting in a high level of quality and productivity. The transport carriers can be adapted to process a diversity of cables. One basic machine can handle coaxial, sensor, airbag, ABS, FFC, POF and other multiple-core applications. The combination options are almost unlimited. The central feature is the extendable level of automation, which can be expanded to other requirements at any time. The basic unit consists of cable transport, cable loading and unloading stations. At loading the preprocessed cable from a standard machine will be taken, such as an automated cut&strip machine. The remaining space of this modular concept allows additional machines/stations to be added according to the specific processing demands. It is also possible to exchange the automated loading for with a manual station. Such a complete line is very compact thus save floor space. Operation of the equipment can be provided directly using the monitor or via a standard PC, mouse and keyboard. Each of the processing modules is equipped with its own control unit where the processing parameters being entered. An SPC coordinates the process, and as an option network is possible.
