Light curing adhesives, potting and sealing materials offer various advantages versus alternative assembly technologies. This is especially true for high-tech applications where durability and process time matter. The Dymax UV curing adhesives offer efficient solutions for part assemblies, coating and encapsulating. The adhesives cure upon radiation with UV light in only a few seconds. The intensity of the UV lamp critically influences the quality of the polymerization and subsequent adhesion performance. This intensity can easily be controlled with the company’s Accu-cal 50 Radiometer. The device is easy to use and offers exact readings in the UVA range (320 nm – 395 nm) from 1 mW/cm² to 40.0 W/cm². It can be used for all types of the firm’s UV curing systems including spot lamps (for curing small bond areas), flood lamps and conveyorized systems (for high throughput of larger parts). The radiometer complements the company’s line of industrial adhesives and UV curing equipment.
