Safer, more accurate in-circuit testing

With the SafeTest technology for its TestStation ICT line, Teradyne offers protection of low-voltage devices (down to 0.8 V) against damages by overvoltage or overcurrent during the power-up phase of in-circuit testing. This elevates in-circuit testing to the next levels of safe, accurate and risk-free solutions (drive/sensing accuracy <45 mV). The option combines the patented digital pin electronics with tester software features to provide automatic driver verification and closed-loop low-output-impedance driving, real-time backdrive current sensing, multilevel digital isolation against spikes and per-pin programmable logic thresholds. A special digital controller executes test vectors and minimizes the backdrive duration.
