Highlights on the DEK stand at Productronica: The demonstration of Europa RTC will allow visitors to discover core cycle times of just four seconds. Using the company’s RTC (Rapid Transit Conveyor) high-speed board transport technology, the Europa platform delivers these cycle times without compromising stability, accuracy or repeatability. Ideal for manufacturers looking to keep pace with the demands of high volumes and miniaturisation, Europa RTC’s advanced technologies deliver paste-on-pad repeatability of 2 cpk at ± 20 µm.
Reel-to-Reel technology enhances throughput for continuous flexible substrate manufacture. Equipped to handle rolls of flexible material typically up to 150 metres in length, this dedicated screen printer is designed to optimise the continuous assembly process. Increasing throughput for applications such as flex circuits, the Reel-to-Reel solution is based on the firm’s screen printing technology. Replacing the conventional machine rollers used to drive boards in and out of the print area, Reel-to-Reel uses three vacuum beds and a clamping system to optimise handling efficiency and throughput of continuous substrates. The team will also showcase DEK’s Dual Lane technology. Designed to enable manufacturers to double their output from a line by implementing Dual Lane operation in place of a conventional single lane setup, this system deploys two DEK printers in configuration. Dual Lane technology delivers substantial flexibility at machine level. The enterprise will also unveil Instinctiv Version 9, the latest revision of its advanced machine user interface. Building on the strengths of previous versions, Instinctiv V9 features a new software architecture to deliver a faster interface performance. Drawing on the previous version’s look and feel, the interface features new elements including enhanced parameter editing, command availability and running feedback.
