The selective benchtop-soldering system RTH 3700 from Seho is especially tailored for lean production and, therefore, very flexible. The low-budget gear is designed for one product to be processed at a time, changeovers, however, are possible. On the manually operated workstation, the assembly is placed into the carrier, and then the components are inserted. The round table is manually turned into next position, the flux automatically supplied and finally the dip-soldering step is automatically carried out. Another modul, integrated in the machine, can, for instance, carry an optical inspection system. Typical cycle times are about 15 to 20s. This concept is considerably simple, and, in turn, the machine is easy to operate and to maintain. An operator carries out all those tasks which individuals can provide easier and more cost-effective than an automated mechanism, and the machine provides the quality-decisive steps. It’s reportedly an ideal solution for the soldering of small batches of high-quality assemblies with the need for very low investments.
