For the Viscom standard AOI systems inspecting solder joints and components, there is now an optional color evaluation feature available. Color verification is accomplished by an additional module containing a color camera and special illumination.The option can be retrofitted at any time in the field. With the aid of this information the user can identify, for example, colored connectors, Melf resistors or other parts. The additional color evaluation feature fits into the existing Viscom AOI environment and is fully compatible with all known tools and auxiliary tools such as repair station, SPC, off-line programming, etc.
