Pickering Interfaces is expanding its range of PXI switching modules with the introduction of a range of high density solid state multiplexers. The switching module family provides a good solution for low current and voltage applications where speed of operation, long service life and low contact bounce are essential. Applications include switching DMM’s for 4 terminal resistor measurements or as an input switch to data acquisition systems. The 40-680 is available in a wide choice of configurations ranging from a 160 channel single bank multiplexer, a 20 bank 8 channel multiplexer to a 4 pole 40 channel multiplexer. It is is able to handle voltages to greater than ± 15 V and has a low typical on resistance of 150 Ohm. The device includes fault protection that ensures that if the module power is off the multiplexer is protected from voltages greater than 40 Volts. The multiplexer is compatible with any PXI chassis and is supplied with a complete range of drivers. It can be used in the company’s 60-100 LXI Modular Switching Chassis series. Pickering Interfaces are Board level members of both the PXISA and the LXI Consortium. You can find out more about PXI and LXI at:
