Alpha’s European distributors and sales representatives joined together in March for two weeks of product training at the Ersa facility in Wertheim. The participants of the training enjoyed the unique opportunity of having access to the soldering machines, stencil printers and reworkstations. Learning about the latest technologies and products from Alpha in the demo and application centre of Ersa. There were around 40 participants each week who took part in the hands on training coming from all across Europe. The selective and wave soldering machines as well as the SMD printer and the hand soldering stations were supplied and the practical sessions arranged with soldering fluxes, soldering pastes and cored wires. The knowledge shared was first class and the meeting location equipped perfectly. The introduced products were the new halogen-free, no clean soldering flux EF6850HF liquid flux, the no clean, fast wetting, low spattering for hand soldering Fluitin XL-825V Cored Wire, the Exactalloy Preforms to selectively increase solder volume, the low silver high performance solder bar SACX PLUS 0307 and the latest paste generation, lead-free, good wetting, no clean, zero halogen, low voiding CVP 390 solder paste. At the end of both the weeks all involved had enjoyed a positive training and knowledge sharing experience, both companies plan to continue their information exchange in the future.
