Organisers have announced a change to entry requirements for the productronica 2021 and SEMICON 2021 trade fairs, scheduled to take place on 16–19 November, as a result of the rising number of Covid-19 cases in Bavaria. As per restrictions (known as the 2G rule) brought in by the Bavarian state government on 9 November, visitors will need to provide proof when registering that they have either been vaccinated or have recovered from a Covid-19 infection (within the last 180 days) in order to attend the fair. Proof of a negative PCR test alone is no longer sufficient for entry. Visitors will also need to register their contact details and wear an FFP2 mask at all times during the event.
Rules for exhibitors, service partners, stand construction contractors and media representatives, however, do permit the use of a negative PCR test (taken within the previous 48 hours) for entry.

The following requirements apply to exhibitors, service partners, service providers, stand construction contractors and representatives of the media during the show:
In order to enter productronica & SEMICON Europa, the above participants will need to
- register their contact details (first and last names, address, telephone number or email address),
- digital proof that they have been fully vaccinated
or
- digital proof that they have recovered from a Covid-19 infection within the last 180 to 28 days prior to productronica & SEMICON Europa 2021
or
- digital proof of a negative PCR test from the previous 48 hours,
- wear a FFP2 mask at all times.
All participants are subject to the latest version of the SARS-CoV-2 Occupational Health and Safety Regulation (Corona-ArbSchV) during assembly and dismantling. Compliance is checked on a random basis. Exhibitors / co-exhibitors have access to the exhibition grounds during set-up and dismantling with their exhibitor passes.
Visitors
The following requirements apply to all visitors. Admission only with proof of vaccination or recovery.
In order to enter to productronica 2021 & SEMICON Europa 2021 from November 16–19, visitors will need to provide:
- digital proof that they have been fully vaccinated
or - digital proof that they have recovered from a Covid-19 infection within the last 180 to 28 days prior to productronica & SEMICON Europa 2021
and
- register their contact details (first and last names, address, telephone number or email address)
- wear a FFP2 mask at all times (depending on the Bavarian hospitalization rate)
In order to keep queues on the exhibition grounds to a minimum, participants can take advantage of the following:
1. You can upload your digital vaccination passport via the ticket shop.
2. You can upload digital proof of your recovery from a Covid-19 infection via the ticket shop.
3. The system supports the following apps:
- EU: CovPass-App
- Germany: Corona-Warn-App and Luca App
Test Centre
For your convenience, we also have a test centre on the exhibition grounds. You can take a fee-based Covid test at Messe Munich. Payment on site only possible with card. No cash payment possible. However, it is possible that the test centre will be quite busy, so please make allowances for waiting times when making appointments with customers at the trade fair center/stand. In order to take a test at the exhibition grounds, you will need to register in advance.

Cost per test:
- Result after up to 24h: EUR 69 (bookable all day)
- Result after up to 12h: EUR 89 (bookable until 14:00)
