The Almit LFM TM48 lead-free solder paste and SH and SR lead-free cored wires are all based on silver, copper and tin. High consistency is ensured as a result of the patented flux chemistry which removes the naturally occurring water from the flux rosin. With a melting point of 220°C, LFM TM48 is suitable for a wide range of applications; SH and SR cored wire are both ideal for no-clean and low-residue hand soldering. These tin-silver-copper materials offer a reasonable alternative regarding the removal of lead and providing solutions with acceptable melting points, good wettability and reportedly excellent joint strength and flexibility.
