Four organisations will offer internationally important conferences from May 13 to 15, 2003, parallel to the 2nd Test trade fair in Nuremberg/Germany. The Test Conference on Materials Testing will deal with questions on status monitoring, material characterization, micro and nanosystems, as well as various special test procedures. The emphasis will be on optical and non-destructive methods. The International Crash-Tech Conference will give special attention to measuring and testing technology in the field of active and passive vehicle safety. The German Association for Environmental Simulation in cooperation with the Confederation of European Environmental Engineering Societies (CEEES) will offer their 2nd international conference on environmentally friendly engineering principles and methods for testing the resistance to environmental effects. And, last but not least, the German Institute for Standards (DIN) will offer a workshop on the Benefits of Standardisation for Safety. Parallel to these conferences, the Sensor & Test 2003 fair will be held at the exhibition center. To date, 705 exhibitors from 29 countries have already booked. Most of the 31% foreign exhibitors are from the U.S., U.K., Switzerland and France.
