The Virginia Panel Corporation’s G2 device can simultaneously engage up to 480 signal contacts within seconds, for test fixturing and other high-performance objects. Thus, it provides a rapid alternative to repeated connecting of individual leads and contacts in a reliable and compact high-density system. This latest model of the Gemini family of VPC’s InterConnect products accepts a wide range of I/O options in multiple configurations, including signal, power, coax, pneumatic, thermocouple and fiber optic. The two-piece, EMI-shielded enclosure features a large adjustable cable clamp to accommodate various sized wire bundles, and slides open for easy access to modules and contacts. The small footprint and its rugged construction makes the connecting/disconnecting system a versatile solution for use in high-performance applications such as aerospace, medical, automotive, telecommunications, industrial and factory automation. VPC also offers cable assemblies that mate to most PXI and VXI cards, providing flexible and configurable solutions to meet a wide range of requirements.
