Brighton in the South of England proved once again to be a popular choice of venue for Nepcon 2004, the contemporary British electronics production exhibition with about 210 exhibitors (figures on attendees were not available at this time). As exhibition director Justin Tadman states, “Feedback from visitors and exhibitors alike shows that the focus was very much on solving production problems and sourcing new suppliers, and we feel that maintaining the same format next year is the most beneficial option. Nepcon is continuing to focus on providing the best possible return on investment for exhibitors, and a rewarding two days for visitors”. Expanded seminar programs will again form a major part of the 2005 show. So, for example, the Smart Group’s Lead-Free Hands-On Experience returned to the show this year, providing an opportunity for visitors to bring themselves up-to-date with the issues circling around the lead-free transition. Delegates could also bring their own board designs and process issues for discussion.
Nepcon/UK is to return to the Brighton Hilton Metropole for the third year running in 2005, and will take place on May 11th and 12th.
