With a lead-free trainings set, the Martin company wants to aid the normal user which get started without a great deal of effort. The firm is reportedly among the first in its business to present technologically faultless and uncomplicated Pb-free solutions on rework equipment. At least now, board assemblers have to take the first practical steps to scrutinize the flow and wetting characteristics of the new lf-alloys, changed soldering times and temperatures and above all more precision in assembly and rework. The SMT trainings set contains printed circuit boards, demo BGAs, QFPs, chip components as well as flux and solder paste for lead-free processing. This set allows users to come to grips with the demands, without running risks. It starts with the correct handling of PCBs and finishes with the slightly changed appearance of solder joints. There are also forthcoming lead-free training courses which can also be conducted at customers’ premises if required.
