In June 2006, MatriX Technologies GmbH, a worldwide manufacturer for innovative AXI systems, closed a worldwide agreement for automatic X-ray systems with Harman-Becker, a market leader in navigation and audio systems. From midyear 2007 MatriX Technologies starts the integration of the first high-speed AXI systems including MIPS inspection and process software within the production line of Harman-Becker in China. Due to this strategic cooperation and the rapid growth of the electronic industry in the Far East, the manufacturer will also expand his activities to China and Southeast Asia. Therefore, for the sector ‚local support‘ in China, it will cooperate with Chinese sales and service organisations. On-site China, the manufacturer will close agreements with well-known representatives for investment goods in the near future. Based on innovative concepts for high-speed AXI and a forward-looking product philosophy, the company is well established in Europe and USA.

The new AXI series (MX-Serie, X2, X3) features newest high speed x-ray technology and processes up to four (4) test windows (approximately 20 qcm) per second. All X-ray systems are equipped with the new inspection software platform MIPS (MatriX inspection and process software). The solution enables automatic generation of test programs, and together with the new 3D SFT technology it realises smooth inspection of double-sided assemblies, even by using 2D X-ray.
MIPS_Verify and MIPS_Process enable the combination of multiple inspection points in one SMT line and display correlation between inspections points within the analyses (typically: AOI paste inspection correlates with AXI post reflow).
Very good customer support and process-oriented project support for an international client base are an integral part of the MXT philosophy and will now also incorporate the Far East area. A number of well-known companies in the automotive and electronic industry are using its new X-ray systems and software platforms MIPS for verification and process management to secure quality standards.
