Ekra, manufacturer of stencil and screen printers, and Fuji Machine Mfg., supplier of SMT equipment, have entered into an OEM agreement to be effective immediately. Fuji will fully integrate the complete range of Ekra paste printers into its production solutions in hard and software and will market them worldwide, providing after-sales support to its customers. This allows configuring individual lines according to special requirements, from table-top printers right through to high-speed systems. The co-operation also includes a joint exchange of technology. Ryoyu Asai, president and CEO of Fuji, affirmed, „Before we made our decision to integrate third-party printers into our SMT production lines, we spent a great deal of time conducting an extremely intensive evaluation of the market. We found that Ekra delivers the most sophisticated yet solid technology in the market.“ Roland Heynen, Ekra’s executive VP, underlined, „Our customers will benefit from the synergy effects between the two companies which will bring the best of both companies to the market. Our companies will join forces to work on developments that will give our customers a competitive edge in quality as well as in time-to-market.“
