Speedline introduced the Torrid Zone, a high-efficiency dryer module providing substantial improvements in both efficiency and environmental performance for high throughput applications. Designed for the Aquastorm 200 cleaning system, the convection dryer is capable of quickly processing board assemblies to within 0.1g of their original dry weight. With a 44% reduction in exhaust requirements and a 15% reduction in power consumption, the module can help to cut operating cost dramatically, providing a quick return on investment. It also features a direct-drive blower system and a motor head that operates up to 275°F. These features translate into a reduction in maintenance requirements, as the system is more tolerant of heat build up and exhaust level fluctuations, and will not experience belt or premature motor head bearing failures.
