SZ Testsystems‘ German headquarters now perform with a production capacity of 250 semiconductor testers annually. The company currently has 400 employees worldwide. Co-founder and chairman of the board, Juergen Zapf, resumes, „We have followed through with plans to expand our production capacity despite stagnation in the industry, thus ensuring our readiness for the imminent upswing.“ In the meantime, the company has laid-off about 25% of its work force, since there isn’t any upswing to see this year.
