Marantz has started its division Business Electronics in Europe which handles sales and service for factory automation technology. The company widens its portfolio with products that, until now, were only available in the Japanese market or exported under various OEM brand names. For board assembly, Marantz offers AOI (automatic optical inspection) equipment for use in early stages of the process. Initially developed for in-house purpose, well over a thousand units have been sold since the market introduction. Now, a second-generation is available in Europe, and in Japan, a third-generation top-of-the-range model has just rolled out.
