Working on your success!
Being part of IPTE group, Connectronics GmbH performs as a subcontractor for final assembly of electrical and electronic devices and components. Within its two divisions, IPTE group deals with automation and contract manufacturing. The enterprise develops turn-key automation systems of all kinds for production, test and further processing of PCBs, as well as of board assemblies and final products. It is a market leader in the providing of production resources and equipment for the electronics industry. Furthermore, with its division Connect Systems, IPTE is engaged in cable assembly. Connectronics and Connect Systems work close together in order to market complete systems consisting of cabling/wiring, component assemblies and packages.

Both companies share the commitment to continuously improve the success of their customers in the industrial and professional markets by supplying the best Electronic Manufacturing Services. Or as Connectronics’ Sales and Marketing Manager Andreas Mueller states: “We are aiming for zero defects.”

Connectronics
Connectronics performs with its services on the market for professional and industrial products as an integrated subcontractor. The offering ranges from construction and development, technical assistance of development with clients, over design and prototyping, purchasing of parts and source, production and quality control/managing up to full logistics as well as all necessary services for the customer.
The main focus is on quality, cost-effectiveness, technology, flexibility and highly productive logistics. Low- to medium-sized series for high product variety (high mix) characterise the business. PCB assembly (SMD and manual), soldering (reflow and wave) and test belong to the business activities just as well as final assembly or corresponding intermediate steps. Approximately 7,500 products are being manufactured for approximately 500 clients. Customers come ranging from areas of mechanical engineering, solar energy, agricultural vehicles and machines, to medical technology as well as professional telecommunications.
The company currently employs about 400 employees. The three production sites in Frickenhausen, Germany, Ieper, Belgium, and Oradea, Romania obtained about Euro 40 million in 2006. For 2007 an increase of up to Euro 100 million is aimed. Included therein is also the turnover of the PCB assembly from Barco NV with its facilities in Kladno, Czech Republic, and in Poperinge, Belgium. It is the intermediate-term objective of the management to significantly expand the activities of Connectronics up to the year 2010. In doing so, the German market is supposed to grow disproportionately.
Connect Systems
At Connect Systems, cabling services cover the confection of fibre optic, coaxial, LAN and all kinds of communication cables. The company’s skilled operators are fully accustomed to working with all regularly used types of signal, power and coaxial cable – including the most complex constructions. For copper wires and cables, a wide variety of production techniques can be applied – from manual wire-wrap, soldering and crimping, through semi-automated processes such as insulation displacement for discrete wire and cable, and moulding to fully automatic machines for dual-end applications. Furthermore, higher levels of production integration are also possible, such as assembly of complex cable units and assembly of complete wire/cabled panels, racks and cabinets.
The company’s planning is custom-made: from simple discrete wiring to high-density circuitry. Small to large series are handled with equal efficiency. Experienced engineers are engaged in prototype development and will help the customers to optimise their products concerning price, performance and manufacturing suitability.
